Minimum Age Limit/ No. of Attempts Eligibility in NEET 2018: Last year there was the huge protest against the rule of 3 attempts and age limit criteria. After the introversion of Hon’ble Supreme Court the age limit and number of attempts rule was of for NEET-UG 2017 MBBS Entrance Exam. The student can check their eligibility status for the NEET MBBS 2018 entrance test. Please note that the confirmation regarding the minimum eligibility standard rule for the year 2018 shall be available after the official bulletin is issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education at the time of online form registration.
CBSE has already issued minimum qualification (AGE/ EDUCATION/ ATTEMPTS) required for the candidate to fill NEET 2018 online form. As per the notification, the candidate minimum age is 17 years at the time of admission or will complete 17 years of age on before 31 December 2019 (admission to the 1st year of MBBS/ BDS course). The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years of age for the General/ Creamy Layer OBC (Unreserved Category) and 30 years for the ST/ ST/ OBC candidate.

NEET 2018 Eligibility
The age limit is very important and the candidate must check their age as on 31 December 2018. The minimum age required is 17 years (for all category) and maximum age limit is relaxed 5 years for the SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ PH candidates. (as per the Govt. rule) Please check the table so that you can check age.
You can calculate your age through online AGE CALCULATOR for NEET 2018. The age calculator gives your age as per your DOB and the date on which you want to calculate. Set the date 31 December 2018 for the date you want to calculate the age.
The age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) 2018 is as follows.

The Govt of India, Department of Health and Family Welfare issued Letter no. U.12023/16/2010-ME-II/MEP dated 03/02/2017, that maximum of three attempts shall be counted from NEET 2017 entrance test. If the student is appearing in NEET 2017 then his/ her attempt is counted as ONE, prior to NEET 2017 entrance test attempts are not counted.

NRI/ Foreign Students
As per the Govt. letter no. U.12023/16/2010- ME-II dated 13.01.2016 received from MoH&FW), the student from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG) 2018.
All the Indian Nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-UG 2018 but check other eligibility criteria ie. age limit, education qualification, marks required.
Eligibility States/Universities/Institutions/ AFMC/Central Quota
Here is the complete story of eligibility criteria 85% quota in govt/ private medical, dental colleges.
(a) Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institution and the Government of India.
(b) Foreign nationals may confirm their eligibility from the concerned Medical/Dental college/state.
Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats
Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats
Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and J & K
(i) Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir candidate are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% all India quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically along with confirmation page for the record and to present during counselling.
(ii) The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counseling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature/admission of such candidates shall be canceled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.
(iii) Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K can appear in NEET (UG) for admission to Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune subject to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
Eligible candidate can check the education qualification with percentage marks required for OBC/ ST/ SC/ PH (Male/ Female) candidates. The minimum qualification is 12th (Senior Secondary) pass from the state board or from the recognized University. The subject in Class XII must be Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English. Also check the minimum percentage or marks required in the board examination.
Percentage Criteria: Students must have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45% (for general PH) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC categories)
