Punjab MBBS/ BDS Admission 2018: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (BFUHS) is conducting online cousnelling for UG Medical and Dental course admission in Punjab Govt/ Private colleges. The student seeking admission in MBBS, BDS course must fill-up National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) at www.cbseneet.nic.in. After the declaration of NEET 2018 results, the aspirants from Punjab State has to fill online counselling form at BFUHS official website. Punjab BFUHS NEET 2018 Notification

Department of Medical Education & Research, Punjab issued notification regarding the academic year 2018-2019 MBBS, BDS admission in Punjab State. The Govt. of Punjab has asked Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (BFUHS) to conduct ONLINE Counselling/ Registration for the qualified candidates in NEET 2018. The aspirants must download BFUHS MBBS/ BDS admission 2018 brochure and read the detailed information.

BFUHS MBBS, BDS Eligibility 2018

Age Limit

The age of the candidate must be minimum of 17 years as on 31 December 2018. Also check upper age limit, relaxation available for you.

Education Qualification

For MBBS: The Senior Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology with English as a compulsory subject.

For BDS: The Senior Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as a compulsory subject.

General (UR Category): The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Biotechnology at the qualifying examination and in addition must have obtained minimum of 50 percentile and come in the merit list of NEET 2018

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes: The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Biotechnology at the qualifying examination and of 40 percentile in NEET 2018

For PH Category: A candidate with locomotor disability of lower limbs only must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST- PH/OBC-PH taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Biotechnology at the qualifying examination and in addition must have obtained a minimum of 45 percentile for General-PH and 40 percentile for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH.

  1. Online counselling registration form.
  2. NEET 2018 Admit card
  3. Original Copy of the Chalan for having paid the fees.
  4. NEET 2018 Admit Card
  5. 10th class certificate
  6. 12th Class marksheet and certificate
  7. Domicile certificate
  8. OBC/ ST/ ST or Minority certificate if applicable.

Punjab MBBS/ BDS Seat Reservation

Reservation in Government Medical/Dental Colleges

The reservation for the State quota seats in Government Institutes in various categories for admission to the Undergraduate courses in Government Medical/ Dental Institutes shall be as under:

(a) Scheduled Castes: 25%
(b) Backward Classes: 10%
(c) Backward Area/ Border Area (1 % each): 2%
(d) Physically handicapped/ orthopedically handicapped: 3%
(e) Sports Persons: 1%

Credit shall be given only for the sports achievements made during class XI and XII. The admission shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates determined on the basis of gradation (Cat A/B/C) issued by the Director of Sports, Punjab.

(f) Children/Grandchildren of terrorist affected persons: 1%
(g) Children/Grandchildren of Sikh riot-affected persons: 1%

Admission to Private Institutes

The distribution of seats in Prívate Medical/ Dental Institutions shall be:

  • Government quota seats: 50%
  • Management/Minority quota seats: 50% (including 15% NRI quota)

Reservation in Private Institutes (for Government/Management quota seats) shall be as under:

  1. Scheduled Caste 25%
  2. Backward Classes 10%
  3. Physically handicapped/orthopedically handicapped 3%
  4. Migrants from Jammu & Kashmir due to terrorist violence. 1%

Punjab (BFUHS) Counselling Registration 2018

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (BFUHS) issued the notification to conduct online counselling registration for admission in MBBS/ BDS course. Aspirants qualified in the NEET 2018 exam has to fill online application at the official website of Bara Faid University.
